As usual, at another 1k milestone I write a journal!
Dear Deviants who take the time to +Watch me or just read my journals:
Life has been exciting recently. I have started my Senior Thesis! In fact, I have completed my first piece and am almost finished with my second piece… out of nine! I'm very excited to show you what I've been working on and yet I'm torn between showing the world my progress and keeping it a surprise until the end! However, I've decided to compromise… if I am able to reach 200 page-likes on my Facebook art page (link will be provided at the bottom of this journal entry) then I will release one of the pieces early!
I am still happily employed at Dynamite! I unfortunately had to miss work today due to feeling sick… in fact, I have felt sick all weekend. Which brings me to Friday's events, chiefly my Birthday
I had sushi, spent some time in a bookstore, and then shared a few drinks with good friends after dinner! The next day I felt very sick and threw up rainbows from my nose. Nope, I am not making that up. I ate a bag of M&Ms and puked through my nose before the rainbow colors had time to fuze together. Not fun, but a fun story.
And on one last negative note, the terrible week I've had previously has ended tonight with the worst Chinese food I have ever tasted in my life. Right down to the burnt fortune cookie. Long River Chinese or something like that in Philadelphia: DON'T ORDER FROM THERE!
I will end on only positive things though. Aside from my Senior Thesis, I am working on two side projects. One I am keeping a secret until I have enough pieces done to keep the idea mine and the other is an attempt to add more men in my portfolio, since my altered thesis now contains mostly women. I love painting women, don't get me wrong, but I am not incapable with painting men. I have a few ideas bouncing around in my head, but recently I find myself enjoying painting animals as well as humans, so I may fuze the two together into glorious man-creatures
This is the first year in many that I will be the proud owner of my very own winter coat! I graduate in merely half a year and I am both excited and highly nervous to officially move away from the home I love so much and settle into my own apartment here in this area. I have begun to network and am considering joining particular groups of like-minded, creative people! In the mean-time, I have purchased the latest Spectrum: Contemporary Fantastic Art (#20, I highly recommend these books). Thank you for all of your support, I am excited to show you what I've been working on, and please remember to "like" my Facebook page for more updates and WIPS and things!
